Bach to the Future Recap: Two Incredible Nights

Night One – Bach to the Future: a Multimedia Experience on Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center

What a series of nights! Bach to the Future kicked off with a powerful performance on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, featuring the Bach-Busoni Chaconne for solo piano by Counterpoint’s own Natalia Kazaryan. This was followed by Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 with NSO musicians Leah Arsenault Barrick (flute), Dayna Hepler (violin), Jennifer Kim (violin), Andrew Eng (viola), and Counterpoint’s Joseph Gotoff (cello) and Natalia Kazaryan on harpsichord. The night concluded with Natalia performing electronic interpretations of Toccata and Fugue in D minor and Sinfonia to Cantata No. 29, enhanced by stunning sound and visuals from Dr. Charles Perryman.

Night two – Bach to the Future at dupont underground

A week later, we brought the program to Dupont Underground, where Gabriel Cabezas (cello) joined the ensemble. The raw, urban setting, combined with immersive soundscapes and visuals, offered a dynamic and unique experience.
